The Medical Data Science Team led by Prof. Dr. Marcin Grzegorzek develops new approaches for multimodal sensor data fusion and analysis able to automatically assess physical and psychological states of humans. Reliable sensor integration, fusion of heterogeneous sensor data as well as learning-based approaches of artificial intelligence for the semantic interpretation of these human-related signals are in focus here. The large sensor datasets necessary for the supervised training of the pattern recognition algorithms are mainly recorded in the APPS Lab (Assessment of Physical and Psychological Signals) established by us at the University of Lübeck and equipped with multiple sensor systems (SensFloor, wearables, cameras).
